Education Award Program Apprenticeships

4.9.1 Award:

A maximum of three awards of $500

4.9.2 Description:

The Fort William First Nation Education Award program has been created as an incentive and reward for students who have completed a recognized skilled trade and have received certificate of qualification through an apprenticeship program.

4.9.3 Eligibility:

  • Member of the Fort William First Nation
  • Full completion of required hours.
  • Graduation from designated apprenticeship program in current academic year.
  • Selection is based primarily on academic excellence.  Awards will be based on final exam marks and demonstrated leadership, community involvement and participation in extra-curricular activities will also be considered in the selection process

4.9.4 Closing Date:

Students must complete an application package by July 31st of each year.
