Education Award Program Post Secondary – College
4.4.1 Award:
A maximum of three awards of $1000.
4.4.2 Description:
The Fort William First Nation Education Award program has been created as an incentive and reward for students who are graduating with a diploma from a recognized college program.
4.4.3 Eligibility:
- Member of the Fort William First Nation
- Full-time attendance at a recognized college
- Graduation from a minimum two year diploma program (current academic year)
- Selection is based primarily on academic excellence. Awards will be given to the highest three grade mark averages (core classes only)
- Demonstrated leadership, community involvement and participation in extra-curricular activities will also be considered in the selection process
4.4.4 Closing Date:
Students must complete an application package by July 31st, of each year.
