Fort William First Nation is accepting self-nominations for one representative to serve a four-year term as Trustee on the Lakehead Public School Board beginning in November 2026.

Candidates must be a Fort William First Nation Band Member, Canadian citizen, at least 18 years old, a resident within the Board’s jurisdiction, a Public Board supporter and not an employee of the Board. The successful candidate will be expected to attend approximately three evening meetings and one daytime meeting per month from September to June, demonstrate a commitment and abiding interest in children with special needs, and maintain a good working relationship with the FWFN Education Manager.
