The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) is pleased to present the 2025 Youth Clean Drinking Water Summit on July 30-31, 2025, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The youth participants will engage in discussions on water stewardship, rights, and governance. Through presentations from key AFN Sectors—including the AFN Water Sector and Fisheries representatives—participants will explore topics such as water rights, harvesting rights, and the impacts of fisheries on water ecosystems.
Additionally, youth participants will contribute to developing a guiding document to support ongoing efforts in water policy, principles and guidelines for youth engagement related to safe drinking water, and water stewardship.
We encourage all interested youth to apply as soon as possible. Space for the Youth Clean Drinking Water Summit is limited to only 40 participants, and spots will fill up quickly. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this important event!
