Bingo Workers - Part Time

Type: Hourly

Position Description: Under the general direction of the Bingo Manager and direct supervision of the Bingo Supervisor, the bingo worker will maintain an efficient and friendly environment in the bingo hall.

Major Responsibilities:
• Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient and friendly service
• Acknowledge and greet guests promptly and pleasantly
• Promote and up-sell paper games including “Balls” and “U Pick Em” to guests – describing games, pay-outs and costs
• Responsible for balancing all papers and money collected in a timely manner
• Maintain paper sales in an organized manner, ensuring efficient and accurate service
• Verify bingo’s – call numbers from guest cards to caller and verify that a correct bingo game
• Using cash register and point of sale machines, handling cash and making quick math calculations
• Dispurse winning pay outs from the corresponding game played
• Report equipment failure/problems to designated supervisor
• Handle guests’ questions and playing needs efficiently, deferring disputes/conflicts to the Supervisor
• Able to handle multiple tasks and customers at once, remaining calm, efficient and courteous
• Operate a computer
• Assist in set up and break down of Bingo Hall
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to obtain a license from Ontario Lottery & Gaming Commission. FWFN will provide forms and registration fees
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take on varying tasks
• Must be able to make minor but quick math calculations
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Effective communication skills – verbally able to provide instruction, respond to questions, and have exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities
